Preschool Lead Teacher - 3-year olds

The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. The Preschool Lead Teacher will assist children in our 3-year old Preschool Program and our multi-age afternoon enrichment program in a developmentally appropriate manner and will also ensure all children’s basic care needs are met. The Lead Teacher will establish and maintain positive family, child, and staff relationships, and ensure safety and the highest quality childcare. The hours for this program will typically be from 7:30am-3:30pm. 

 

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Over 18 yrs. old with a High School Diploma or a GED.
  • Current CDA credential, Associates or Bachelors in Early Childhood or Education
  • Professional experience in childcare is a must.  We are looking for a candidate who truly enjoys working with young children.
  • Must be able to pass a background check on local and government level.
  • Must be willing and able to continue learning throughout the year and commit to 18 hours of training.
  • Must follow all relevant State of Michigan Child Daycare Licensing rules and regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
  • Blood Borne Pathogens training (employer will organize training if not yet trained)
  • Must have or willing to take Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training.

Preschool Aide

Part-time preschool assistant. The teacher assistant assists the lead teacher in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. The Preschool aid will assist children in our 3-year old Preschool Program and our multi-age afternoon enrichment program in a developmentally appropriate manner and will also ensure all children’s basic care needs are met. The hours for this program will typically be from 7:45 a.m.-1 p.m.

 

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Over 18 yrs. old with a High School Diploma or a GED.
  • Experience in childcare is a must. We are looking for a candidate who truly enjoys working with young children.
  • Must be able to pass a background check on local and government level.
  • Must be willing and able to continue learning throughout the year and commit to 18 hours of training.

Child Care Positions Open

We believe children learn by doing. We believe each child has unique strengths and it is our job to develop them to the fullest. Our children are in our care during the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., M-F.  We have various needs throughout the day making this a great opportunity for someone who cannot commit to full-time work or to a set schedule.
