Make a gift to the STAR Fund!

We are very proud to introduce to you the St Stephen Tuition Assistance Reserve or STAR Fund.

What is the STAR Fund?

The founders of the STAR Fund recognized the need for tuition assistance for

St. Stephen families. Currently about 20% of our St Stephen families demonstrate such a need. Funds from the STAR Fund can be made available to eligible families at any time throughout a school year, when the family needs assistance the most. Through the gift of generous donors, the STAR Fund is already off to an impressive start of $35,000 toward a goal of $100,000 in August, 2008.

Who is eligible for the STAR Fund?

All families who meet the criteria set up by the STAR Fund Executive Board.

Who is the Executive Board?

The Executive Board is made up of 9 individuals who are alumni of St. Stephen or whose children are alumni of St. Stephen. The Executive Board meets monthly to guide the future of the STAR fund.

How do I donate?

You can donate by filling out the pledge form or send in a check to church or the school office referencing the STAR Fund. The money you donate will be designated for tuition assistance.

Do I have to be alumni to donate? Anyone who would like to donate money is welcome. (All we ask is that you reference that the money go the STAR Fund.)

Why should I give to the STAR Fund?

First, The STAR Fund offers help to St. Stephen families when they need it most. STAR Funds will be available immediately for use to eligible families. By giving to the STAR Fund, you are contributing to the success of a St. Stephen student and helping secure their future.

Second, one of the most important forces in longevity of St. Stephen is our alumni. Our alumni are leading the efforts for long term sustainability for St. Stephen by setting a goal for the STAR Fund of $100,000 by August of 2008. We are looking for the alumni of St. Stephen to meet the call of this need, recognizing the value and sense of community you had as a student or parent at St. Stephen. Please consider making a gift, and ensuring the St. Stephen experience for another student who today embodies the spirit of the St. Stephen tradition.

In addition to helping families at St. Stephen, the advisory committee for the STAR Fund wants to reach out to alumni! We will help facilitate alumni communication by creating an alumni directory to put you in touch with others from the St. Stephen community. Please let us know where you are by filling out the attached form and returning it!

We are very blessed to have such a wonderful school. We are looking forward to continuing the St. Stephen tradition for many years. With your assistance we can help more families experience that St. Stephen tradition.
