After School Care
After School Care
Our Child Care Center serves St. Stephen School families who need a fun, safe, structured environment for their children after school. St. Stephen Child care is housed in the Preschool room. The gym and playground are also utilized.
We provide an atmosphere where children are encouraged to grow socially, creatively, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically. Activities include strategic card and board games, literature exposure, team challenges, outdoor games, arts and crafts, homework assistance, and free play.

Hours/Days of Operation
St. Stephen Child Care operates between the hours of 3:00pm and 6:00pm on all full days St. Stephen School is in session. When school is closed for the holidays, half days, inclement weather, or due to acts of God, we will also be closed.
Fees
One Child: $4.00/hour
Two Children: $6.00/hour
Three + Children: $8.00/hour
Registration
If you would like to enroll your child(ren), the following forms need to be completed for each child:
Health Record Form (336 KB, PDF)
Child Record Information Form (541 KB, PDF)
A schedule form (424 KB, PDF) needs to be submitted with the above forms and a $50.00 registration fee (checks made payable to St. Stephen School).
Students will not be able to begin care until forms are submitted AND approved.
Scheduling
Unfortunately, we are not able to function as a drop off center. We would appreciate a bi-weekly schedule of when you need days. If you end up needing extra days, check with the director. If there is space available, we will be glad to accommodate you. Families are required to pay a deposit of one week’s tuition in advance which will be credited to the last week of care provided. Because your child’s place is being reserved and aides hired accordingly, refunds or credits cannot be given when your child is absent due to illness, change of schedule, etc.
Typical Schedule
3:00-3:45 Large motor activities
4:00 Snack and chat
4:15-Pickup: Supervised homework, silent reading, group activities
(Youngest children have story time, crafts and free play)
