MAPS Testing
The NWEA (MAPs) Assessments
Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) – These computerized tests are adaptive and offered in Reading, Language Usage, and Mathematics. When taking a MAP® test, the difficulty of each question is
based on how well a student answers all the previous questions. As the student answers correctly, questions become more difficult. If the student answers incorrectly, the questions become easier. In an optimal test, a student answers approximately half the items correctly and half incorrectly. The final score is an estimate of the student’s achievement level.
Parent Toolkit
The NWEA Parent Toolkit was created as a resource and guide for parents. It includes Frequently Asked Questions, Tips for Parents, and a list of web sites for parents and kids. We hope you find this toolkit helpful and invite you to have conversations with your school district personnel about NWEA's assessment tools.
Diocesan Practice By RiT Wiki
This wiki contains links to online games - most of which are arranged according to NWEA MAP RiT Scores. The games listed have been found on various websites - and are meant for practice and review - not introductory instruction.
Please utilize the engaging activities contained within this wiki to reinforce and review a student's understanding of individual concepts - all within their specific RiT Score. Click on the images below to visit the wiki.
